Do Not Sell My Personal Information
How to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information, and what happens after you do.
Our position on selling personal information
PetCareFunding does not sell personal information for money. We do, however, allow the disclosure of certain identifiers and internet activity to partners for the purpose of delivering relevant advertisements and measuring their performance. Under some privacy laws, that kind of disclosure can be treated as a "sale" or as "sharing" for cross-context behavioural advertising, even when no money changes hands.
This page explains how to opt out of that disclosure.
What you can opt out of
- Disclosure of identifiers and internet or network activity to advertising and measurement partners.
- Sharing of that information for cross-context behavioural advertising.
- Targeted advertising based on information gathered across sites over time.
What opting out does not do
Opting out does not stop the handling needed to run the site, to answer a request you have submitted, to keep the site secure, or to meet legal obligations. It also does not remove you from advertising you may see on other platforms, because those platforms apply their own controls.
Opting out does not withdraw a request you have already submitted, and it does not change any plan terms a provider may have already offered you.
How to opt out
An opt-out request must identify the record concerned; the contact details you used with us are usually enough.
If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control or similar opt-out preference signal that we are required to honour, we treat it as a valid opt-out request for that browser.
Authorised agents
You may use an authorised agent to submit an opt-out request. We may ask the agent for written permission signed by you, and we may still contact you directly to confirm the request.
Verification and timing
Opt-out requests generally do not require identity verification beyond what is needed to locate the record. We act on a verified request as promptly as the applicable law requires and will confirm the outcome in writing.
If we cannot honour a request, we will explain the reason and describe any further step available to you.
